Waldorf Sydney Central is located in Chippendale, approximately 2km from the heart of the city on the southern side towards Central Railway Station. Our location makes for the ideal accommodation for either the corporate or leisure traveller whilst being close by to all of the great icons in central Sydney. Chippendale has also more recently become known as one of the key creative art districts of Sydney, with more than a dozen galleries in the small neighbourhood including White Rabbit Gallery, MOP Projects, and Pine Street Creative Arts Centre.

Chippendale is notable for being the location of the 168-year-old Carlton & United brewery which closed in December 2006. The site has since been redeveloped into commercial and residential space called Central Park which includes a large new park called Chippendale Green.
